Why can't I find a restaurant I searched for?
DinePilot's Assistant search pulls from Google Places, the same data most map apps use. If a place is very new, very small, or just outside your search radius, it may not turn up — you can always add it by hand instead using "Manual" on the My Spots screen.
How does Assistant search know where to look?
Type a ZIP code, or tap "Use My Location" to search nearby automatically. Either way you can adjust the search radius and filter to reservation-taking spots only before adding results to your list.
What does "Highly Rated Only" actually filter on?
Google's own star rating for the place — turning this rule on keeps only spots rated 4 stars or better. Manually-entered spots (and any Google didn't have rating data for) are never excluded by this rule; an unknown rating always passes.
How does "Rate Spots" work?
Open it from My Spots to quickly rate your whole list — swipe a card right to love it, left to skip it, or down (or tap "Meh") for neutral. Ratings feed directly into Compromise Pick, the same as tapping the rating pill on an individual card.
How do I share my list with someone else?
Open Share from My Spots or the home screen, tap "Share…" to send your code however you'd like (Messages, AirDrop, etc.), and have the other person paste it into their own Share screen under "Got a Code From Them?" and tap Import. No account or sign-up required on either end.
I reinstalled the app and lost my spots — can I get them back?
If iCloud is enabled on your device, your spots, ratings, and rules sync automatically and should reappear shortly after reinstalling. If iCloud sync is off, DinePilot has no other backup — a Share Code sent to yourself (e.g., email it to your own address) is a good manual backup in the meantime.
Does DinePilot cost anything?
DinePilot is a one-time $0.99 purchase — no subscription, no ads, and nothing more to buy after that.
How do I delete my data?
Everything DinePilot stores lives on your device and, if enabled, in your own iCloud account. Deleting the app removes the on-device copy; disabling iCloud for DinePilot in your device's Settings (or deleting it from iCloud.com) removes the synced copy.
