WonderPilot is built by MarkWare LLC. This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your information — in plain language, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to find out.
The short version
WonderPilot has no account and no sign-in. It doesn't know who you are. The only things it does with your data are described below.
Asking a question
When you type or speak a question — plus recent conversation context, if you're asking a follow-up — WonderPilot sends that text to Anthropic (Claude) and Voyage AI, the services that find relevant Bible passages and generate your answer. That text is used to produce your response and is not stored on WonderPilot's own servers beyond what's needed to return it. Anthropic's and Voyage AI's own privacy policies govern how they handle that request on their end.
What's stored, and where
Your question history is stored locally, on your device only, so you can revisit a past answer. It's never uploaded anywhere as a saved record. You can clear it at any time from within the app.
The app also generates a random, anonymous device identifier, stored on your device, sent as a header on each request solely so our backend can limit how many questions one device can ask per minute/hour — this prevents abuse. It's never linked to your name, email, or any other identity.
Voice input
If you use the microphone button, your speech is transcribed using Apple's on-device speech recognition when your device supports it, or Apple's own server-based transcription otherwise — the same system your iPhone's keyboard dictation already relies on. WonderPilot itself never receives or stores raw audio.
Basic usage logging
WonderPilot's backend logs anonymous, aggregate counts — like how confident a search was, or how many passages were found — to understand how the app is used. Your actual question and answer text is never included in these logs.
